[Peaseware]

Peaseware was created primarily in the second half of the nineteenth century in picturesque Cascade Valley, the current location of CREEKSIDE . The Pease family began production there around 1850, relying entirely on the harnessed energy of Big Creek to power their lathes and other equipment. They harvested fresh-cut maple for the majority of their hollow containers that were designed, at first, for local use. In-depth and definitive articles on both the Pease and Brown families (their twentieth century successors) were researched and written by the Kangases.
